The third AsiaFI Winter School

AsiaFI is making an effort to coordinate the Future Internet research with cooperative manners among Asian countries. AsiaFI is going to hold the third School on Mobile and Wireless Networks, primarily for students in Ph.D programs. We have graduate student sessions to give them opportunity to discuss and exchange ideas on their research regarding Mobile and Wireless Networks, in addition to tutorials and lectures on the latest research results given by professors and researchers. Participants from around the globe are welcome.

Who should attend?

AsiaFI school is intending to share the current activities related to the Future Internet research with the participants. This particular school will focus on the mobility in various fashion, and it is an ideal event for those Ph.D course students who are working on this area and surrounding areas. Any ambitious master course students and those researchers already obtain the degree are also welcome to join the tutorials and presentations to have active discussion.

While we are not limiting to the scope of AsiaFI activities to China/Japan/Korea, participation to the school also establish links of young researchers across the border, sharing almost the same timezone. They are expected to be a great research colleague for your coming years.

FIF Camp Meeting

FIF will have the FIF camp meeting just before the AsiaFI school. You may consider to join the FIF camp to make the week more fruitful.

Scholarship:

For student those need financial support to attend the school, please submit a proposal before 2009-11-09 by following the procedure described below.

Scholarship application procedure:
1. Download the application form from (click here to download the scholarship application form).
2. Fill all the necessary information and rename the file as "schapp_YourName_SubmisstionDate.doc". (for example, "schapp_JohnSmith_20090901.doc")
3. Send an email (using the same email address used in the contact information field of the application form) to Hajime Tazaki<tazaki@sfc.wide.ad.jp>
4. The notification will be sent before 2009-12-15.

Fellowship:

For non-student those need financial support to attend the school, please submit a proposal before 2009-11-31 by following the procedure described below.

Local Arrangement:

Room Reservation
- Hoam Guesthouse is the most convenient accommodation. You need to ask for reservation if you want to stay this guest house. For general guests, a single room will be allocated and for students a twin room sharing by two students will be allocated. Please contact Ms. Seonghee Lim shlim@osia.or.kr to make a reservation at Hoam Guesthouse before 22 January, 2010.
